IT Security Analyst

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the IT Security Analyst will monitor security platforms, investigate alerts, and support incident response efforts to maintain a secure computing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events across various security platforms including SIEM and firewalls
• Investigate security incidents and coordinate remediation efforts
• Develop reports and documentation on security findings and high-impact issues

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security
• Experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, and security monitoring tools
• Security Operations Center (SOC) experience
• Knowledge of HIPAA, ePHI, HITRUST, ISO, and NIST security frameworks
