IT Security Engineer

Job Summary

Focused on enhancing organizational security, the full-time remote IT Security Engineer will apply IT security principles and AI-powered tools to protect company resources, manage threat detection, and ensure compliance with security policies.

Key responsibilities:

• Maintain and optimize IT security configurations and infrastructure, collaborating with IT and network engineers
• Develop and document security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Conduct threat detection and vulnerability management, utilizing AI-driven tools to identify and mitigate security risks

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; BS in Information Technology or equivalent technical discipline preferred
• Three to five years of direct experience in Cyber Engineering or information assurance
• Strong experience with vulnerability assessment tools and AI-powered security platforms
• Proficiency in network security, firewall configurations, and incident response
• Practical experience using AI/ML-powered security tools for threat detection and automated response
