IT Security Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting and administering security technologies, the full-time IT Security Engineer will troubleshoot and resolve customer issues remotely while ensuring the protection of client systems, networks, and data, with occasional travel to Downers Grove, IL as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and resolve customer requests within established Service Level Agreements (SLA)
• Perform system/platform health checks and assist with escalated security engagements as necessary
• Stay current on security intelligence and implement system changes to enhance security measures

Required qualifications

• Experience with at least three security technologies such as Cisco Security Products, EDR Platforms, and Tenable Products
• Understanding of network protocols and traffic flow in an enterprise environment
• Ability to perform security whitelisting and evaluate security requests across multiple platforms
• Knowledge of Domain Name System (DNS) technologies and basic Linux knowledge is a plus
• Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
