IT Security Manager

Job Summary

To ensure robust security and compliance in a multi-site healthcare environment, the remote IT Security Manager will manage identity hygiene, security policies, and oversee outsourced IT partner performance while working within Microsoft 365, Azure, and on-prem Active Directory.

Key responsibilities

• Own identity and access hygiene processes, including account management and credential rotation
• Document and enforce security policies to support HIPAA compliance using Group Policy, Intune, and Conditional Access
• Deliver monthly security posture reports to the CIO, highlighting risks, remediation progress, and audit readiness

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience administering Microsoft environments, including Entra ID/Azure and Microsoft 365
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender and at least one SIEM platform
• Practical knowledge of network management, including firewalls, VPN/SD-WAN, and DNS
• Experience producing evidence for SOC 2, HITRUST, or similar audits
• Strong PowerShell skills for automation and auditing tasks
