IT Security Specialist I - Compliance

Job Summary

Providing senior-level leadership for cybersecurity governance and compliance, the full-time IT Security Specialist I - Compliance will oversee the implementation and monitoring of security controls to ensure adherence to federal regulations in a remote and on-site environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity compliance and governance activities, ensuring alignment with FISMA, NIST SP 800-53, and other federal cybersecurity requirements
• Oversee the implementation and continuous monitoring of security controls, maintaining audit-ready documentation and compliance artifacts
• Coordinate internal and external audits, developing comprehensive reports and supporting risk management activities for federal stakeholders

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity governance, compliance, or risk management
• Minimum of 5 years in a senior Information Assurance or Governance, Risk, and Compliance role
• Extensive knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks, including NIST SP 800-53 and FISMA
• Hands-on experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance platforms such as CSAM
