IT Server Technician

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled IT Server Technician for a hybrid, full-time contract position in Latham, NY, where the technician will manage server functions, provide technical support to end-users, and maintain computer systems and software.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage all functions related to server operating systems and hardware
• Provide first and second-line technical support to remote and local end-users for hardware, software, and network issues
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and peripherals while documenting IT processes and procedures

Required qualifications:

• 5 to 7+ years of experience supporting Windows servers
• Experience with hardware, software, RAID configuration, and patching
• Proficient in configuring and maintaining Windows operating systems; knowledge of Linux/WSL is a plus
• Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and IT security practices
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a regulated environment
