IT SOX Manager

Job Summary

Leading enterprise-wide compliance initiatives, the contract IT SOX Manager will manage IT SOX compliance activities, including risk assessments and testing of internal controls, while working fully remote.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the execution of IT SOX compliance activities, including walkthroughs, process documentation, and testing of IT General Controls (ITGCs) and IT Application Controls (ITACs)
• Identify control deficiencies and partner with stakeholders to develop and monitor effective remediation plans
• Collaborate with process owners and external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure timely completion of compliance activities

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Five or more years of experience in IT internal audit, IT external audit, or SOX compliance within a public company or professional services environment
• Strong knowledge of IT SOX requirements and internal control frameworks, including COSO, COBIT, and NIST
• Demonstrated experience evaluating internal controls over financial reporting and assessing technology-related risks
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, and/or CISA are preferred
