IT Systems Administrator

Job Summary

To support a dynamic research organization, the full-time IT Systems Administrator will manage and administer IT systems, provide technical support to staff, and ensure information security and data protection in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Install, support, and troubleshoot hardware and software across Mac, Windows, and Linux systems
• Manage and administer cloud environments, including Office 365 and Azure, while providing user support for data backup systems
• Onboard and train staff on IT systems, information security, and software tools

Required qualifications:

• Proficient in administering Microsoft Office 365, Exchange, and cross-platform systems (Mac OS X, Windows, Linux)
• Skilled in cloud computing, identity management, and network troubleshooting
• Advanced knowledge of information security best practices and data protection laws, with certifications like CompTIA Security+
• Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Experience with device management solutions such as JAMF and Intune
