ITAR Export-Import Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Import/Export Shipping Specialist responsible for the compliant execution of international and domestic shipments of highly regulated defense articles.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute export and import shipments of ITAR-controlled defense articles in accordance with approved licenses
• Prepare and validate all export/import documentation and verify shipment details against approved authorizations
• Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders and manage hazardous materials compliance

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in logistics, international trade, or defense operations
• 5+ years of direct experience with ITAR-controlled defense articles
• Working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, USML regulations, and customs regulations
• Hands-on experience preparing EEI filings and coordinating with defense freight forwarders
• Experience shipping hazardous materials under DoT/IATA/IMDG regulations
