ITSM CMDB Administrator

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled ITSM CMDB Administrator, the full-time remote position will manage the administration, accuracy, and automation of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the ITSM platform, collaborating with technical teams and business customers to ensure data quality and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the overall strategy, governance, health, and continual improvement of the CMDB as the CMDB Owner and Subject Matter Expert
• Act as the primary point of contact for CMDB-related initiatives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across teams
• Design and implement automated CMDB discovery and maintenance processes while driving CMDB maturity through data quality improvements

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on CMDB administration and governance experience, preferably with ServiceNow and/or Device42
• Demonstrated expertise in CMDB architecture, data modeling, and configuration management best practices
• Solid experience with Device42 discovery, dependency mapping, and CMDB data reconciliation
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes, particularly Configuration Management and Asset Management
• Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
