IVR Facility Coder
Job Summary
To support healthcare operations, the full-time or part-time IVR Facility Coder will accurately abstract and code data into electronic medical records, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines while maintaining a productivity standard and coding accuracy rate of 95% or better in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assigns appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes to various facility-based accounts
- Abstracts and enters coded data for hospital statistical and reporting requirements
- Queries physicians to clarify clinical information and communicates documentation improvement opportunities
Required qualifications
- Candidates must possess AAPC CIRCC credential
- Extensive IVR coding experience, particularly in Cardiology and Vascular
- Minimum of 3 years' coding experience; Trauma Level 1 and Academic Teaching facility experience preferred
- Must pass client exam
- Experience with Epic and 3M is required
