Job Summary

A company is looking for an Interpreter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Relay oral information accurately between speakers of two different languages
• Facilitate effective communication between parties that do not speak the same language
• Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical codes

Required Qualifications:

• Native fluency in English and the requested language
• Strong cultural awareness and understanding of language as an expression of culture
• Excellent interpreting skills, including setting tone of encounters and diffusing conflicts
• Knowledge of ALTA policies and code of ethics
• Completion of an interpreting course and preferably national certification
