Job Summary
To support its Japan operations, the full-time salaried Japan Licensed Corporate Attorney will draft and negotiate commercial agreements, advise on HR matters, and provide corporate governance counsel while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including licensing and vendor contracts
- Advise on Japanese employment and HR matters, ensuring compliance with local labor regulations
- Provide corporate governance counsel on entity management and board-level matters specific to Japan
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a corporate attorney in a reputable law firm or in-house legal department
- Licensed to practice law in Japan (bengoshi qualification or equivalent required)
- Deep expertise in negotiations and drafting complex agreements for the Japanese market and globally
- Full professional fluency in Japanese and English, both written and spoken
- Prior experience in the gaming, entertainment, or technology industry preferred
