Job Summary

To support its Japan operations, the full-time salaried Japan Licensed Corporate Attorney will draft and negotiate commercial agreements, advise on HR matters, and provide corporate governance counsel while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including licensing and vendor contracts
• Advise on Japanese employment and HR matters, ensuring compliance with local labor regulations
• Provide corporate governance counsel on entity management and board-level matters specific to Japan

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a corporate attorney in a reputable law firm or in-house legal department
• Licensed to practice law in Japan (bengoshi qualification or equivalent required)
• Deep expertise in negotiations and drafting complex agreements for the Japanese market and globally
• Full professional fluency in Japanese and English, both written and spoken
• Prior experience in the gaming, entertainment, or technology industry preferred
