Japan Payroll Lead

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Japan Payroll Lead to manage payroll operations for employees in Japan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee payroll specialists to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing across different prefectures and entities in Japan
• Develop and coach the Japan payroll team while supervising payroll tasks and ensuring compliance with regulations
• Implement and test new payroll systems for automation and efficiency improvements

Required Qualifications:

• University degree and/or diploma in Human Resources, Payroll, Business, or a related discipline
• Minimum 8 years of payroll experience in a foreign MNC with knowledge of local payroll regulations in Japan
• Fluency in both English and Japanese
• Experience in leading and developing a team in Japan
• Strong payroll systems experience, preferably with SAP
