Japanese Interpreter

Job Summary

Joining a highly collaborative team, the part-time Japanese Interpreter will provide simultaneous interpretation and translation for meetings and documents, ensuring effective communication in a remote setting during morning shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate simultaneous interpretation for department meetings
• Translate spoken statements and written materials between Japanese and English
• Support the team by translating documents quickly and accurately when needed

Required qualifications

• Highly experienced in Japanese and English interpretation and translation in both directions
• Proficient in simultaneous interpretation
• Fluent in verbal and written formats for both languages
• Bachelor's Degree with a few years of experience, or at least 5 years of interpretation experience in lieu of a degree
• Ability to communicate smoothly and understandably in both languages
