Japanese Interpreter

Job Summary

Providing simultaneous interpretation and translation, the part-time Japanese Interpreter will support a global automotive team remotely during morning shifts, ensuring effective communication in meetings and translating documents as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver accurate simultaneous interpretation for department meetings
• Translate spoken statements and written materials between Japanese and English
• Provide document translation quickly when required

Required qualifications

• Extensive experience in Japanese and English interpretation and translation
• Proficiency in simultaneous interpretation
• Fluency in both verbal and written Japanese and English
• Bachelor's Degree with relevant experience or at least 5 years of interpretation experience in lieu of a degree
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both languages
