Japanese Legal Translator

Job Summary

A company is looking for an English to Japanese - Judiciary / Legal Translator, Editor and/or Transcriber.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate, edit, and transcribe legal documents and audio files from Japanese to English and vice versa
• Edit legal documents and audio transcriptions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal terminology
• Review and certify the quality of other translators' work as needed

Required Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and willingness to undergo a government background check for Public Trust Clearance
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• At least 3 years of experience in legal documentation and translation between English and a foreign language
• At least 3 years of audio transcription experience with relevant software proficiency
• Familiarity with legal terminology in both English and the target foreign language(s)
