Japanese Licensed Interpreter

Job Summary

Providing simultaneous interpretation and translation, the part-time Japanese Licensed Interpreter will support a Global Automotive Company by facilitating communication during meetings and translating documents, with a commitment of approximately 20 hours per week, remotely from 6:00 am to 10:00 am EST, Monday to Thursday.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver accurate simultaneous interpretation during department meetings
• Translate spoken and written materials between Japanese and English as needed
• Adapt to varying work hours to meet project demands and ensure effective communication

Required qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Japanese and English Interpreter and Translator, proficient in both languages
• Demonstrated ability in simultaneous interpretation
• Fluency in verbal and written communication in both Japanese and English
• Bachelor's Degree with relevant experience, or at least 5 years of interpretation experience in lieu of a degree
• Ability to convey information clearly and understandably in both languages
