Job Summary

A company is looking for a Japanese Translator to ensure learner-facing content resonates with Japanese audiences through accurate translations.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and refine English-Japanese translations for applicant-facing content and technical training materials
• Proofread copy for accuracy, idiomatic expression, and cultural appropriateness, correcting grammar and tone as needed
• Track edits and comments in the localization workflow to deliver polished, native-sounding copy

Required Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Japanese; professional proficiency in English
• Proven experience in translation, localization, or proofreading (English-Japanese)
• Strong understanding of grammar, tone, and cultural nuances in Japanese
• Experience working with style guides and glossaries
• Familiarity with localization tools is preferred
