Java Backend Developer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Java Backend Developer will manage Java/Java EE application development, providing expertise throughout the software development lifecycle, from concept to testing.

Key responsibilities:

• Define site objectives by analyzing user requirements and envisioning system features and functionality
• Design and develop user interfaces for internet/intranet applications, setting expectations and priorities throughout the development lifecycle
• Troubleshoot development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms

Required qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms
• Proficiency in Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns
• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL, and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)
• Experience with the Spring Framework
• Familiarity with developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC)
