Job Summary

To support the Census Bureau, the full-time Java Developer will design, develop, and maintain Java applications while providing technical guidance and adhering to Agile methodologies in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Perform systems analysis, design, and development of Java applications
  • Design and implement secure code, conduct testing, and maintain large software applications
  • Provide troubleshooting support for production applications and assist other developers with technical solutions
Required qualifications
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance; U.S. Citizenship required
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Hands-on experience with HTML, JavaScript, Hibernate, and Oracle
  • Strong experience with Java, JDBC, Java Messaging Services, and web services/API development
