Job Summary
Working fully remote on a contract basis, the Java Backend Developer will develop and enhance backend services using Java while modernizing an existing enterprise platform in a leading healthcare organization.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and enhance backend services using Java
- Analyze existing code and implement new functionality and enhancements
- Build and maintain microservices while collaborating with engineering, UI, and business teams
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of software development experience; 5-6+ years preferred
- Strong hands-on Java development experience
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Ability to quickly understand existing codebases and business logic
