Java Performance Architect
Job Summary
To optimize enterprise Java environments, the full-time Java Performance Architect will diagnose, design, and enhance application performance while working remotely across North America.
Key responsibilities
- Lead investigations and resolutions of complex Java performance incidents across the technology stack
- Analyze JVM behavior and application performance, focusing on memory usage, garbage collection, and CPU load
- Produce technical summaries, architectural recommendations, and root cause analyses while collaborating with clients and internal teams
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 10+ years of experience in designing, developing, troubleshooting, and architecting complex enterprise applications
- Strong practical expertise in Java performance optimization and JVM tuning
- Proficiency with enterprise Java frameworks and application servers such as Spring/Spring Boot and WebSphere
- Experience diagnosing performance incidents across multiple layers, including application code and infrastructure
