Java Technical Lead
Job Summary
As a remote Java Technical Lead, the candidate will design, develop, and support scalable cloud-based applications for an insurance client, focusing on modern application development practices and collaborating with technical teams and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS services
- Build and support APIs and integrations utilizing REST, JSON, OpenAPI, and service-oriented development practices
- Contribute to continuous integration and delivery practices using Git, GitHub, and automated testing tools
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 12+ years of professional experience developing applications in Java, including Java 8, Java 11, or Java 17
- Hands-on experience with Spring or Spring Boot, including RESTful services and dependency injection
- Strong experience with AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, and S3
- Experience building and consuming APIs using REST, JSON, and OpenAPI
