Java Web Developer

Job Summary

To support the Department of Transportation's safety initiatives, the full-time remote Java Web Developer will build and maintain software products, analyze project requirements, and collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze project requirements and provide estimated development timelines while following an agile sprint-based schedule
• Develop and unit test software modules, assisting the Test Team with load and performance testing as needed
• Document design decisions, maintain source code version control, and participate in peer reviews to enhance team skills and project outcomes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 4-10 years of experience in software development, with at least 4 years of object-oriented programming in Java
• Experience in designing and maintaining MuleSoft solutions for 2+ years
• Proficiency in building web applications or APIs for 4+ years, including experience with HTML, CSS, and Angular
• Familiarity with AWS Cloud environments and at least one source code version control tool
