JCL Mainframe Migration Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely, the JCL Mainframe Migration Engineer will analyze, transform, and migrate legacy JCL-based batch processes to modern platforms such as Azure, ensuring performance stability and minimal disruption during the transition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze Control-M and/or Atomic schedule on mainframe and perform maintenance/troubleshooting of JCL jobs
• Support conversion of mainframe batch jobs (JCL) to PowerShell scripts for Azure and optimize batch job performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align migration strategies with enterprise standards and document business requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Expertise in Mainframe JCL and job scheduling, particularly Control-M
• Strong experience with PowerShell scripting and automation in Azure
• Familiarity with CICS and experience with migration projects from mainframe to cloud
• Ability to interpret and convert JCL scripts to PowerShell
• Experience with Agile methodologies and operationalizing batch jobs
