Joint Use & Permitting Specialist

Job Summary

To support fiber network construction projects, the fully remote Joint Use & Permitting Specialist will manage the joint use and permitting process, coordinating pole attachment applications, right-of-way permits, and regulatory approvals while liaising with engineering, construction, and various agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate pole attachment applications and manage permitting efforts for fiber construction projects
• Maintain relationships with utility companies and municipalities, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Track permit statuses, provide project updates, and recommend process improvements to enhance permitting efficiency

Required qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2-5+ years of experience in telecommunications, utility, engineering, or permitting
• Proficiency in using mapping software such as AutoCAD or GIS
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Experience with maintaining databases and permit tracking systems
