Job Summary
To support fiber network construction projects, the fully remote Joint Use & Permitting Specialist will manage the joint use and permitting process, coordinating pole attachment applications, right-of-way permits, and regulatory approvals while liaising with engineering, construction, and various agencies.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate pole attachment applications and manage permitting efforts for fiber construction projects
- Maintain relationships with utility companies and municipalities, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Track permit statuses, provide project updates, and recommend process improvements to enhance permitting efficiency
Required qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2-5+ years of experience in telecommunications, utility, engineering, or permitting
- Proficiency in using mapping software such as AutoCAD or GIS
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Experience with maintaining databases and permit tracking systems
