Job Summary
To ensure compliance with engineering standards for joint-use projects, the part-time Joint Use QC Engineer will review pole attachment applications submitted by engineering vendors, verifying adherence to utility specifications and collaborating with the Lead QC Reviewer on any discrepancies.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct thorough QC reviews of pole attachment applications to ensure compliance with engineering standards and utility requirements
- Verify adherence to the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and other relevant industry standards in submitted applications
- Maintain detailed documentation of the review process and provide regular reports on application status and vendor performance
Required qualifications
- Minimum of three years of experience in quality control, utility joint-use, or engineering review processes
- Strong understanding of joint-use pole attachment standards and utility engineering specifications
- Familiarity with NESC and other industry standards
- Proven ability to identify and resolve non-compliance issues in engineering submissions
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with engineering vendors and internal teams
