Joint Use QC Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Joint Use QC Engineer will perform detailed outside plant engineering tasks including estimating, designing, and budget tracking for copper and fiber cable installations while ensuring compliance with industry standards and conducting quality control inspections.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and interpret engineering plans, drawings, and reports for outside plant facilities
• Organize and submit permit packages while maintaining accurate records and files
• Conduct periodic job inspections and quality control to ensure adherence to design standards

Required qualifications

• Expert knowledge of COE/OSP principles and industry standards
• Ability to identify and relocate existing voice/data plant and utilities on site plans
• Experience with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) for engineering requirements
• Proficient in using PC applications and computer-aided drafting systems
• Must possess own tools such as a measuring wheel and laptop
