Journeyman Contract Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Journeyman Contract Specialist to provide procurement support for the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Solicit, evaluate, negotiate, and administer construction and Architect-Engineer (A&E) contracts
• Support pre-award and post-award activities for construction and facility infrastructure projects
• Analyze and evaluate cost data and prepare complete contract files for construction and A&E procurements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of federal contracting experience focused on Construction and/or A&E procurements
• Experience administering construction and A&E contracts, including pricing and modifications
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Strong working knowledge of the FAR and VAAR, particularly in construction-related parts
• Experience supporting federal facilities or capital improvement projects is highly preferred
