Jumbo and Non-QM Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Jumbo and Non-QM Underwriter.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and underwrite loan submissions according to various guidelines and internal overlays
• Perform credit, income, and property analysis for complex financial profiles
• Communicate credit decisions and conditions clearly to internal staff and external partners

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
• Minimum of five (5) years of recent underwriting experience in Jumbo and Non-QM products
• Strong knowledge of non-conforming/non-agency Jumbo and Non-QM loan programs
• Proficiency with automated mortgage LOS and underwriting systems; experience with Encompass preferred
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local mortgage lending regulations and compliance requirements
