Jumbo Underwriter

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Jumbo Underwriter will evaluate credit and property documents in loan files, identify potential risks, and make decisions regarding loan approvals, declines, or suspensions based on underwriting guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Review loan submissions and generate initial credit decisions in accordance with various investor guidelines
• Evaluate mortgage loan applications for eligibility and compliance with applicable guidelines
• Perform credit and property analysis, including complex tax return evaluations and income calculations

Required qualifications

• Non-conforming/Non-Agency Jumbo underwriting experience
• Superior knowledge of underwriting requirements for FNMA, FHLMC, and Non-Agency Jumbo loans
• Five or more years of mortgage underwriting experience with Non-Conforming or Non-Agency Jumbo loans
• Experience with Encompass 360
• High School Diploma or equivalent
