Junior AI Prompt Engineer

Job Summary

To support U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the remote Junior AI Prompt Engineer will work with stakeholders to identify AI adoption opportunities, develop and refine prompts, and design AI-enabled workflows that enhance operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and evaluate opportunities for AI adoption
• Design, test, and document reusable prompts and workflows for large language model platforms
• Develop AI-enabled workflows to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency

Required qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience applying AI tools to solve business or operational problems
• Experience designing or refining prompts for generative AI platforms
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate business needs into practical solutions
