Junior API Developer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an API Developer Jr. to design, develop, and maintain APIs for the VA Lighthouse ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and document API specifications, endpoints, data models, and protocols (REST, GraphQL)
• Build and implement APIs using languages and frameworks such as Java, Python, Ruby, and .NET
• Integrate APIs with internal systems, external applications, and third-party services

Required Qualifications

• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch
• Proficiency in GitHub and related tools
• Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, Oracle, and AWS RDS
• Knowledge of AWS Cloud services and container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Understanding of OpenAPI specifications and API security best practices
