Junior Apparel Designer

Job Summary

To support the creation and development of ladies' apparel, specifically focused on sleepwear, loungewear, and fleece jackets, the hybrid Junior Apparel Designer will collaborate with senior design teams and cross-functional partners while working remotely three days a week and onsite in Framingham, MA, two days a week on a five-month contract.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist in designing and developing ladies' sleepwear, loungewear, and fleece jackets under the direction of senior design leads
• Produce detailed sketches, technical drawings, and mood boards to communicate concepts and support quarterly product development
• Research current fashion trends through market analysis and industry events to inform seasonal line directions

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or equivalent industry work experience
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in ladies' apparel design, focusing on clothing construction and technical pattern-making fundamentals
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
• Strong understanding of apparel retail merchandising, color theory, and fabric selection
• Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail
