Junior Automation Tester
Job Summary
To support quality engineering efforts, the remote Junior Automation Tester will perform functional and regression testing, create and maintain automated test cases, and validate API requests and responses while collaborating with development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional and regression testing activities
- Create, maintain, and execute automated test cases using established frameworks and tools
- Support API testing by validating requests, responses, status codes, and authentication behavior
Required Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or related software development roles
- Foundational knowledge of functional testing, regression testing, and defect lifecycle
- Basic understanding of API testing, including request and response validation
- Familiarity with at least one scripting or programming language such as Java, JavaScript, or SQL
- Exposure to CI/CD concepts and pipeline-based testing using tools such as Jenkins or GitLab
