Junior Budget Analyst

Job Summary

Supporting the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the remote Junior Budget Execution Analyst will provide budget planning and execution support, manage financial data, and assist in creating reports and tracking tools for grants and contracts.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide budget execution support to the National Weather Service Financial Management Center or Headquarters
• Analyze data to forecast budget issues and track NWS grants and contracts throughout their lifecycle
• Create and maintain spreadsheets, templates, and reports for financial management activities

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of experience in federal budgeting or related fields, or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• Ability to transform data into user-friendly spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
• Experience with financial systems and data analysis
• Excellent oral presentation skills for briefing management on findings
