Junior Data Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a 6-month contract-to-hire role, the Junior Data Engineer will support the development and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions, collaborating with senior engineers and analysts to manage data infrastructure and enable business intelligence initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Databricks, Python, and SQL
• Build and optimize data workflows to support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML initiatives
• Monitor data quality, troubleshoot pipeline issues, and implement process improvements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
• 2-3 years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL development, or analytics engineering
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines in Azure environments
• Strong experience with Azure Databricks for data transformation and workflow development
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and analytics
