Junior Data Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a contract-to-hire capacity, the Junior Data Engineer will support the development and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions while collaborating with senior engineers and analysts.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Databricks, Python, and SQL
- Build and optimize data workflows to support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML initiatives
- Monitor data quality, troubleshoot pipeline issues, and implement process improvements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- 2-3 years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL development, or analytics engineering
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines in Azure environments
- Strong experience with Azure Databricks for data transformation and workflow development
- Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and automation
