Junior Data Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting the development and maintenance of scalable data pipelines, the remote, contract-to-hire Junior Data Engineer will design ETL/ELT processes using Azure Databricks, Python, and SQL while collaborating with senior engineers and analysts.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for data processing and analytics
• Build and optimize data workflows to support business intelligence and AI/ML initiatives
• Monitor data quality and troubleshoot pipeline issues while implementing process improvements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
• 2-3 years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL development, or analytics engineering
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks for data transformation and workflow development
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and automation
• Understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and modern data architecture concepts
