Junior Data Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Junior Data Platform Engineer will assist in deploying, configuring, and maintaining a Big Data platform while collaborating with senior engineers to enhance automation and operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of the Big Data platform
• Support the setup and management of clusters in on-premise and/or cloud environments
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline deployment and operational tasks

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Basic understanding of Big Data concepts and distributed systems
• Familiarity with at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, or similar)
• Foundational knowledge of Linux/Unix environments
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration concepts
