Junior Designer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Junior Designer to support the 1-color team in creating engaging book designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and set up mechanicals/effects plates for jackets, covers, and interiors
• Create engaging cover and interior designs through composition, typography, illustration, and photography
• Collaborate closely with the editorial team and other internal departments

Required Qualifications

• 1 - 3 years of bookmaking experience
• Bachelor's or master's degree in graphic design or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and Google Suite
• Strong portfolio demonstrating typographic skills
• Knowledge of and interest in the book publishing industry
