Junior Designer
Job Summary
Supporting the Art Director(s) in a remote capacity, the full-time Junior Designer will manage and design multiple book covers, collaborating with various departments throughout the design process for bestselling commercial fiction titles.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and design multiple front covers and mechanicals
- Support Art Director(s) with research, layouts, and presentations
- Prepare print-ready digital files while maintaining high production standards and meeting deadlines
Required qualifications
- Strong layout and typography skills
- Proficiency with the MAC environment and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
- Minimum of 6 months' prior design experience; publishing experience is a plus
- Knowledge of printing, prepress file/art management, and production is a plus
- Passionate about book design, typography, and current trends
