Junior Editor

Job Summary

Working remotely, the part-time Junior Editor will run and improve editorial tools, review manuscripts for quality, and provide feedback to ensure high standards in published novels.

Key responsibilities:

• Run editing tools on incoming book manuscripts and review manuscripts for quality output
• Collaborate with the Content Team to support overall editorial processes
• Provide detailed feedback and suggestions for improvements to editing tools

Required qualifications:

• Native English speaker
• 3 years of professional editing experience, including 1 year in editing fiction
• Excellent copyediting skills with a basic understanding of quantitative reasoning
• Keen interest in utilizing AI to assist in editorial processes
• Ability to attend meetings during San Francisco hours
