Job Summary

To support the Evaluation Office, the part-time Case-based Causal Methods Junior Evaluator will collaborate with the Lead consultant to design and implement the Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA) component of an evaluation focused on child protection systems strengthening, generating evidence on outcomes related to violence prevention and response, all while working remotely for a 6-month consultancy.

Key responsibilities
  • Contribute to the implementation and application of the QCA case-based causal approach for the evaluation
  • Assist in preparing QCA model specifications, data protocols, and training for evaluation team members
  • Draft and revise evaluation products, ensuring quality inputs and presentation of findings
Required qualifications
  • Advanced university degree (minimum Master's) in relevant fields such as Political Science, Statistics, or Social Sciences with quantitative methods specialization
  • Minimum 2 years of experience applying case-based causal methods, including QCA, in international development
  • Experience in data management and analysis using tools such as R, Python, or Stata
  • Fluency in English; working knowledge of French or Spanish is an asset
  • Exposure to child protection or public policy programmes is preferred
