Junior FOIA Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Junior FOIA Analyst to conduct initial FOIA request reviews and perform records searches.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct internet and records-based research to support FOIA search and retrieval efforts
• Support document review, identification of responsive records, and preparation of materials for redaction
• Apply appropriate FOIA exemptions and redactions consistent with federal law

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of FOIA request processing experience supporting a US Government agency within the last 24 months
• Proficient in applying redaction tools and documenting FOIA exemption determinations
• Associate degree
• Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive internet and records research in support of FOIA search and review functions
