Junior Information Security Analyst

Job Summary

Working remotely, the part-time Junior Information Security Analyst will support security operations by analyzing security alerts, reviewing video footage, and assisting in incident detection and remediation efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Review security alerts and events generated by SIEM tools to support incident detection and investigation
• Analyze video footage from security cameras to identify and document areas of concern
• Collaborate with team members to learn about security processes, risk evaluation, and new security technologies

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent, with plans to pursue education in Cyber Security, AI, or IT-related fields
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Basic understanding of security frameworks, networking, and operating systems
• Ability to document security processes, findings, and recommendations accurately
• Strong typing skills and attention to detail
