Junior Metrics Analyst

Job Summary

Supporting the Federal Aviation Agency (FAA), the full-time Junior Metrics Analyst will utilize data analytics to review and develop metrics related to the National Airspace System (NAS), create dashboards, and prepare documentation and reports for internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Review and develop metrics for the operation and modernization of the NAS
• Work with large aviation data sets to implement error checking and data quality assessments
• Prepare documentation, presentations, and reports for FAA leadership and industry groups

Required qualifications

• BA degree with 2 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with less than 2 years of experience, or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency in SQL or PL/SQL for database interfacing
• Experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL databases
• Familiarity with data visualization software such as Tableau
• Experience in programming languages such as R or Python
