Junior Network Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting enterprise network operations, the full-time Junior Network Engineer will monitor performance, assist with routine tasks across LAN, WAN, and wireless environments, and maintain network documentation while working in a hybrid capacity that includes both remote and onsite work in Northern Virginia.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and assist with routine operational tasks across various connectivity environments
• Generate and maintain reports on bandwidth utilization and key performance indicators to support operational oversight
• Collaborate with network engineers to support service delivery and maintain operational continuity

Required qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in network operations, IT support, or a related technical role
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, including routing and switching
• Experience using reporting and analysis tools, such as Excel or similar platforms
• Experience supporting ticketing systems like ServiceNow for tracking operational activities
