Junior Network Engineer

Job Summary

To support internal teams and a Federal Agency, the contract Junior Network Engineer will provide remote assistance in managing, troubleshooting, and monitoring data networks and security solutions, focusing on routing protocols and firewall configurations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support on data networks and security solutions for internal teams and Federal Agency
• Manage and troubleshoot data solutions leveraging routing protocols and switching technologies
• Monitor network performance and resolve issues related to data networks, escalating as necessary

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3 or more years of experience in data networks, specifically with routing protocols and switching technologies
• Experience with Cisco platforms and tools such as Solarwinds and ServiceNow
• Basic understanding of configuring firewall rules
• Professional certifications such as CCENT, CCNA, or CCNP preferred
